Amman, January 21, 2025

In a step towards enhancing collaboration between the academic and banking sectors, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the World Islamic Sciences and Education University and the Association of Banks in Jordan. The MoU was signed on behalf of the university by Prof. Dr. Jafar Al-Fanatseh, President of the University, and on behalf of the Association of Banks in Jordan by Dr. Maher Al-Mahrouq, Director General of the Association.

The MoU aims to align academic education outcomes with the labor market needs of the banking sector and promote financial literacy among students. It also includes collaboration in developing academic curricula and organizing training activities aligned with the developments in the banking sector.

Dr. Al-Fanatseh emphasized that the MoU will provide training opportunities for students, helping to prepare them for the labor market. Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Mahrouq highlighted the importance of this cooperation in enhancing the role of academic education in developing human resources in the banking sector.

At the conclusion of the event, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two parties, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening future collaboration.
