The Association of Banks in Jordan is considered a fundamental pillar in the banking sector in Jordan, aiming to elevate and advance banking operations, nurture the interests of member banks, enhance cooperation among its members and other stakeholders, and achieve the highest levels of coordination among them. The association diligently strives to develop and improve banking service delivery methods in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Additionally, it aims to effectively influence the regulatory landscape governing banking operations in Jordan, enhance transparency and trust in the banking sector, achieve financial stability, and solidify banking practices and norms, following unified systems and procedures for this purpose, and reinforcing the role of banks as a key driver of economic development in Jordan.

Our History
In the year 2000, Banks Law No. 28 was issued, which included Article 95, stating the establishment of an association called the Association of Banks with a direct supervision from the CBJ.
In March 2006, the Association's regulations were issued as Law No. 35 of 2005, making the Association an institution governed by the Banking Law since that date.
