On Tuesday, the Ministry of Youth held an introductory session for the third cycle of the Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Volunteer Work at the Association of Banks in Jordan. The session was attended by the Association’s Director General Dr. Maher Mahrouq, Director of Studies, Policies, and Planning Fadi Al-Mashharawi, members of the award’s management committee Dr. Ashraf Bani Mohammad and Samar Dawood, along with several employees from the association and participating banks.

The session introduced Al- Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Volunteer Work, highlighting the importance of spreading a culture of volunteerism. It also addressed the vital role of the banking sector in promoting and supporting volunteer initiatives, especially through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) departments, an area where the banking sector plays a pioneering role.

Dr. Mahrouq emphasized that banks in Jordan play a fundamental role in social responsibility, operating within a structured institutional framework based on sustainability principles and social impact assessment. He added that the banking sector leads all economic sectors in Jordan in terms of social contributions and the individual and collective initiatives it launches.

The session concluded with an interactive presentation by Dr. Ashraf Bani Mohammad, who outlined the philosophy, foundations, objectives, and focus areas of the award, along with application requirements and the rigorous evaluation criteria used to ensure transparency and integrity among all participants.
