Zarqa University signed a cooperation agreement today, Monday, October 6, 2025, with the Association of Banks in Jordan, with the aim of enhancing mechanisms of cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two parties in academic, training, and research fields.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Zarqa University by its President, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, and on behalf of the Association of Banks by its Director General, Dr. Maher Al-Mahrouq. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Fadi Yousef Mashharawi, Director of the Studies, Policies, and Planning Department at the Association of Banks, Professor Dr. Tareq Mubaideen, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Omar Al-Makhzoumi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Dr. Khaled Al-Qawasmi, Dean of Scientific Research.

Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, President of Zarqa University, emphasized that this agreement comes within the framework of the University’s continuous efforts to strengthen partnerships with various societal institutions, particularly the banking sector, in a way that contributes to developing students’ skills and preparing them for the labor market through practical training and joint programs.

Dr. Al-Ramahi noted that the University is keen on building fruitful bridges of cooperation with the Association of Banks in Jordan to support educational and research processes and open new horizons for students and faculty members in the fields of economics, banking, and finance.

For his part, Professor Dr. Tareq Mubaideen, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, explained that the agreement will contribute to strengthening integration between the two sides by organizing workshops and specialized training programs, as well as exchanging research expertise that serves the community and supports the development of the banking sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, President of Zarqa University, honored the delegation of the Association of Banks in Jordan, represented by its Director General, Dr. Maher Al-Mahrouq, in appreciation of the Association’s efforts in supporting the path of education and training in Jordan and in strengthening partnerships with higher education institutions.
