The Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) and the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) this morning at the JSC headquarters to enhance mutual cooperation. The MoU was signed by JSC Chairman Dr. Adel Bino and ABJ Director General Dr. Maher Al-Mahrouq, in the presence of members of the JSC Board of Commissioners.
The signing of this MoU aims to strengthen collaboration between the two parties in various fields in alignment with their respective legislative frameworks.
The MoU outlines the development of cooperative activities in areas of mutual interest, including sharing expertise, conducting joint research projects that align with the objectives of both the JSC and ABJ, and organizing joint workshops, seminars, conferences, and events. It also includes the exchange of publications, books, periodicals, and research findings, as well as information and data sharing in compliance with the legal frameworks governing both parties.
Furthermore, the MoU specifies cooperation in organizing regular training programs and lectures for entities related to the financial sector in general and capital markets in particular, tailored to the current and future needs of Jordan’s financial sector. Additionally, the two parties will collaborate on training programs to develop human resources within both organizations, aligning with mutual areas of interest and the evolving needs of the sector. The MoU also includes technical and operational collaboration between specialists from both sides, along with consulting on reviewing and assessing the legislation and policies governing both entities, upon request.
