Upon the social responsibility of banks and their in efforts to relieve citizens on the occasion of Eid al-Adha in light of the current circumstances, banks in Jordan, in coordination with the Central Bank of Jordan, agreed to postpone the installments of individual loans during June (the end of this month) without a commission on installment deferral.
This initiative comes within the framework of banks’ social responsibility and their constant keenness to launch mitigating initiatives that help citizens overcome the financial challenges that they may face. This is done within the framework of the developmental and stimulating role of banks in the Jordanian economy by providing sufficient liquidity to citizens, which increases aggregate demand and revitalize markets in addition to improving economic performance in general.
ABJ also indicated that clients who do not wish to postpone should contact the banks they deal with to inform of their unwillingness to postpone.
